Agreement
By accessing or using the AM Group website, catalogue, or placing an order for any precision instrumentation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are acting on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
Eligibility
Our products are intended for professional, industrial, and commercial use. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, acting in a professional or business capacity, and that your intended use complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction — including any export-control or dual-use regulations that may apply to precision metrology equipment.
Modifications
AM Group reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent site notice. Continued use of the site or services following such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Products & Orders
Catalogue accuracy
AM Group makes every effort to ensure that product descriptions, technical specifications, images, and pricing are accurate. However, errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct inaccuracies and to cancel or refuse any order placed on the basis of incorrect information, notifying you promptly and offering a full refund where payment has been taken.
Order acceptance
Submission of an order constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only upon our written order confirmation. AM Group reserves the right to decline any order at its discretion — for example, due to stock unavailability, export-control restrictions, or suspected fraudulent activity.
Technical specifications
All instruments sold by AM Group are subject to the manufacturer's published tolerances and specifications. AM Group does not warrant that any instrument will meet a specific application requirement unless expressly stated in a written quotation. Customers are responsible for verifying suitability prior to purchase.
Stock & lead times
Stock levels displayed on the site are indicative and updated periodically. For critical procurement timelines, we recommend confirming availability with our technical sales team. Lead times for special-order, custom, or imported instruments will be specified at the time of quotation.
Pricing & Payment
Pricing
All prices are listed in the currency displayed at checkout and are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, and freight unless otherwise stated. Corporate and volume pricing is available — contact our sales team for a tailored quotation.
Payment terms
Payment is due in full at the time of order for standard catalogue purchases. Approved corporate accounts may be subject to net-30 payment terms as specified in a separate credit agreement. AM Group reserves the right to suspend fulfilment pending receipt of cleared funds.
Taxes & duties
You are responsible for all taxes, import duties, and customs charges applicable in your destination country. For cross-border shipments of controlled measurement equipment, export documentation will be provided; however, compliance with local import regulations remains the buyer's responsibility.
Shipping & Delivery
Climate handling
Precision instruments are stored and dispatched from climate-controlled facilities maintained at 20°C ± 1°C to preserve dimensional stability and calibration integrity. Special packaging is used for fragile or sensitive equipment.
Delivery timelines
Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. AM Group is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Risk & title
Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon handover to the carrier. Title to goods passes upon receipt of full payment. AM Group recommends that buyers arrange appropriate transit insurance for high-value instrumentation.
On-site delivery
For large metrology systems or CMM equipment requiring on-site installation, AM Group's engineering team will coordinate a delivery and setup schedule. Additional terms specific to installation services will be set out in the relevant work order.
Returns & Warranty
Return window
Standard catalogue items may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Custom-configured, special-order, or calibrated instruments are non-returnable unless found to be defective on arrival.
Defective goods
If an instrument arrives damaged or non-conforming, notify AM Group within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will arrange collection and either replace the item or issue a full refund at our discretion.
Manufacturer warranty
All instruments are covered by the relevant manufacturer's warranty, typically 12–24 months from the date of purchase. Warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer's terms and do not cover damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised modification, or use outside published environmental specifications.
Calibration certificates
Where a calibration certificate is supplied with an instrument, it reflects the condition of the instrument at the time of calibration. AM Group recommends periodic recalibration in accordance with your quality management system requirements. Recalibration services are available on request.
Liability & Indemnity
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AM Group's total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or any order shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the relevant goods. AM Group is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss — including loss of production, process downtime, or data.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold AM Group harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of products, violation of these terms, or breach of applicable laws — including export-control regulations governing the onward transfer of controlled instrumentation.
No exclusion of statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Statutory rights of consumers (where applicable) are not affected.
Intellectual Property
Ownership
All content on the AM Group website — including product photographs, technical drawings, catalogue copy, brand assets, and software — is the property of AM Group or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Permitted use
You may browse the site and download content solely for personal or internal business reference. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written consent from AM Group is strictly prohibited.
Governing Law & Disputes
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Jurisdiction], without prejudice to AM Group's right to seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
Dispute resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith through direct negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to mediation administered by [Mediation Body] before proceeding to litigation.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
